All in Change
On March
I feel it from my soul
And I feel it from the trees too
Perhaps every season the trees are giving us clues
On making a thankful life
Gratitude changes your perspective
Changes your attitude
Changes your life
On the speed of heart
When the world turns
As the seconds click
My heart
It keeps it’s own time
On the greatest symphony
The noise outdoors
It has changed
It has moved from being background noise
Into the foreground
On letting go
Let go
Let the old leave
Let what’s not needed fall
On what you hold on to
The thing that’s holding you back is the very thing you are holding on to
On breaking
I have assumed wholeness is the goal
But maybe it’s brokenness
On having enough
I’m putting down the phone
The forever long to-do list
No longer ignoring what my body needs
On poverty
Maybe at it’s roots poverty isn’t a money issue
Maybe homelessness isn’t a housing issue
Maybe crime isn’t an anger issue
On being in two places at once
When you heart is in two places at once
When you feel it tearing and twisting
On breaking
I can’t break and stay the same
That’s the beauty of the breaking
On giving help
If you give help
Then receive help willingly
If you sacrifice
Then accept the gifts of others
