On what you hold on to
Fear is a nice little blanket
That you hold
It’s keeping your future the same as the present
Convincing you that change isn’t possible
Ensuring sameness and contentment and smallness
There is comfort in that blanket
There’s freedom from fear in fear
Freedom from a challenge
Freedom from losing
From failing
From haters
Because nobody hates a hider
Except the hider herself
That blanket that you are finding comfort in
You’re despising it
At the same time
Without notice
The thing that’s holding you back is the very thing you are holding on to
