On lightning

I saw the lightning and I trembled

I heard the thunder and I tensed

You stood close by me

You pointed out the beauty in the seeing

Your lack of fear was clearly felt

I found beauty in the light

I heard magic in the volume

And it extinguised the fear

Give us all someone to stand next to us in our fear

Give us all someone who sees beauty in the hard things

Let the pulling back of fear 

Uncover the beauty that’s been hiding

And then give me moments to stand next to someone 

In their fear and help them find the beauty

Beauty to extinguish their fear
