On looking
I have experienced feeling two completely different ways when looking in the mirror
1. when I’ve treated my body like trash this week (...or this month or this year)
VS.
2. when I’ve exercised, taken vitamins, reduced toxins, eaten clean
The same body
But I feel two completely different feelings about it
On treating my body like trash I feel
Embarrassed
Reluctant to even look
Blah
Critical
Hopeless
Depressed
When I’ve exercised and cared for my body
Instead I feel
Grace
Acceptance
Hopeful
Appreciative
Entrusted
Healthy
The choices we make matter
They impact our emotions
Even on the simplest things
Like looking in the mirror
