On grace with truth
What if we gave a lot of grace
And then told truth
What if we loved deeply
Grew a relationship
Like a garden
And there
Sprinkled truth
What if we asked questions
Listened
Then asked and listened more
And in that moment
Whispered truth
What if we cared deeply
Even deeper than the roots of truth
And then
Offered truth
Not to be right
Not to do harm
Not to stand on a soap box
Not even because we care about the truth
But because we care most for the person
What if we lived like that
Building deep grace and love first
And then
Added truth
