On sleeping
When was the last time you slept soundly
2 years ago I was sleeping like a baby
Really like a baby
Hard to get to sleep and up every two hours, unable to get back to sleep
I had three kids pretty close together, and it reset my rhythm to this restless pattern
I did the things they tell you
I turned off screens early
I created a pre-bed routine, low lighting
I had a fan, a comfy blanket, an expensive pillow
Nothing worked
(I’m not really a med girl
I don’t like pills
I can’t really swallow them
